Exposition

The School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Turin is providing space at the Sala delle Colonne at the Castello del Valentino (a 17th century palace), for an exposition of work by AIA Continental Europe members.

The exhibit, a second presentation of work shown at the Build-up Expo in Milan, provides additional space for work not included in the first showing of work by members and member firms of AIACE.

The available space will double the original limit of 14 (A1) boards to 28. A template for the exhibition form is available (download zipped file). Exhibitors are asked to also provide a one page (A4) biography.

Following the exhibit opening on Saturday is the weekend section event, Architecture in Turin.

Opening

The University has arranged an inauguration ceremony for the evening of 15 June. Selected AIACE members will present their work. Two presentation opportunities have been reserved, leaving one available. Please select your willingness to give a verbal presentation on the exhibitor application.

Faculty representatives, professors, practicing professionals, students, and representatives from Turin’s Ordine degli Architetti are invited to the presentation.

Registration

Members who did not exhibit in Milan must complete an application with payment. The €200,00 fee includes plotting, mounting and installation. Applicants may submit a maximum of two boards.

Members who previously displayed their work in Milan will have their boards displayed in Turin at no additional cost.

The exposition in Turin will be on display from the 15-22 June 2007. Deadline for submittal of the application, the one page biography and the exhibit file for printing (one TIFF format, one PDF version) is 4 May 2007.   Friday, 15 June
16:45-17:15 AIACE members presenting work meet at the Sala delle Colonne, Castello del Valentino, Turin. Presentation set-up.
17:30-18:00 Introduction by Faculty Representatives, AIACE representatives, and possibly the President of the Turin Order of Architects.
18:00-19:45 Presentation by AIACE members (including question/answer session).
19:45 End of inauguration.
