Steven Miller Appointed to International Committee Advisory Group

New York, New York and Dubai, UAE [1 January 2010] — AIA Continental Europe chapter member Steven Miller, FAIA, RIBA, Managing Director of FXFOWLE Architects Dubai office, has been appointed to the American Institute of Architects International Committee Advisory Group. The International Committee engages the global architecture community and promotes the highest standards of education and practice in the international arena. Ecoweek 2010: Ecology + Community + Architecture

Registration is now open for the for the international conference and design workshops “Ecoweek 2010: Ecology + Community + Architecture” on passive solar and ecological building and a look at sustainability in local communities and societies, for architects and young architects, to be held in Athens on March 13-20, 2010.

The conference takes place under the auspices of the European Institute of Law, Science and Technology and the City of Athens.

City Street Conference

City Street conference provides a platform for multi-disciplinary interaction and discussion which aims at projecting new perspectives and initiating creative prospects about the city.

The 20^th-21^st centuries ideologies and technologies, the post-industrial societies, the postmodern cultures, the deconstructivist urbanism and architecture, the multi- media art and graphics, and the cybernetics, all form now the themes in which the city’s street is to be (re)considered.

The “City Street” conference invites international researchers, architects, designers (graphic, interior, media) urbanists, artists, photographers, film makers, geographers, anthropologists, philosophers, and thinkers to present full papers, posters, workshops and projects/exhibitions.
