HOW TO GET TO CHINON
By Rail
Chinon has a railway station with several daily connections to Tours from where there are direct connections to Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport. Your can buy your tickets online at the French National Railword website : www.sncf-connect.com
By Car
If you are able to plan some extra days before or after the conference we warmly recommend to come by car so you can take advantage of the many Unesco World Heritage sites around Chinon.
Chinon is 40 minutes from Tours which is well connection to Paris and Bordeaux via the A10 motorway.
By Airplane
The nearest international airports are Nantes, Tours and Poitiers. Care rental options are available at these airports.
By Bike
For the more sporty participants….. Chinon is based along the Loire Valley bike route
WHERE TO STAY
Hotel accommodation in Chinon is limited. Some rooms have been pre reserved at the Best Western hotel where you can avail of a special discount if you mention ‘Carsten - AIA’ when making your reservation.

Other good options include Air BnB and bed and breakfast .
WHAT TO WEAR
Early October is generally mild end of summer weather, with temperatures around 20° C, eventing and nights can be chilly and a sweater is recommended.
