For those who will be able to extend their stay to Monday, thanks to our new corporate partner Asselin, we are able to offer a very interesting program.
The day will start with a coach transfer to Thouars, hometown of the Asselin company workshops. There we will be welcomed at their carpentry workshop where the new spire of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris was recently assembled. We will then go on to visit their joinery workshop and get a sense of their craftmanship in restoring and recreating historic joinery. Asselin will then offer us a buffet lunch in the workshop giving the participants to chance to meet with the craftsman.
After lunch we will leave for a short drive to the incredible Oiron castle, approximately 15 minutes from Thouars. Following a guided visit of this great XVIth and XVIIth century site we will have a short coffee break and return to Chinon for the end of the conference around 16:45.
